C&C 4455, led by hotel president Cliff Atkinson as CEO and Chad Konrad as CFO, aims to turn around the struggling property's performance after previous management challenges under Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment.

The new management plans to:

  • Increase marketing to local players and visitors
  • Add more entertainment and amenities
  • Expand customer loyalty programs

Meanwhile, Culinary Union Local 226 workers have been on strike since November 15, seeking salary increases and improved benefits comparable to other Las Vegas properties. Union Secretary-Treasury Ted Papageorge stated that Virgin Hotels Las Vegas remains the only company unwilling to negotiate a fair contract.

The property, owned by Juniper Capital Management and Richard Branson's Virgin Group, faces criticism from union members for ownership's absence at the NGCB meeting. Union member Paul Catha questioned why Nevada regulators didn't require owners' presence during the casino operation application review.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas claims the Culinary Union is bargaining in bad faith, stating the union hasn't seriously countered their economic proposals or brought their latest offer to members for a formal vote.

The management change requires final approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission before taking effect.
