To Yeung and Chunyahn Wang, both 44-year-old Brooklyn residents, were charged with endangering the welfare of a child after casino security found their daughter unattended in a parked Honda CRV for approximately 45 minutes on Monday morning.

The vehicle's engine was off despite temperatures in the low 20s and 8 mph winds. The child was discovered unharmed by casino security guards around 11 a.m. while the parents were gambling at table games inside.

Both defendants posted $3,000 bonds after appearing before Bucks County Magisterial District Court Judge Joseph Falcone. The girl was placed with relatives following the incident.

Medical experts warn that children left in cold vehicles risk hypothermia, which begins with shivering and can progress to serious complications if body temperature drops below 95 degrees. Without treatment, the condition can be fatal.

This incident joins several similar cases where adults have left children unattended in vehicles at casinos across Pennsylvania and other states, leading to criminal charges for endangering minors in both cold and hot weather conditions.
