According to the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office, the incident occurred on November 25 when the victim entered Martin's vehicle. Martin allegedly:
- Refused to let her exit the vehicle
- Stole her purse and took possession of her knife
- Forced her to perform a sex act in Oklahoma City
- Attempted to coerce her into prostitution
- Demanded she retrieve money from her residence
The victim managed to alert a friend while at her residence, who then contacted local police. Officers located the victim at NW 22nd Street and North May Avenue in Oklahoma City, where they also arrested Martin.
Newcastle Casino, located 24 miles from the arrest site, released a statement emphasizing their commitment to patron safety. The casino confirmed they are cooperating with law enforcement in the investigation.
Court records reveal Martin had a prior felony arrest for domestic abuse by strangulation and a pending human trafficking case from April involving a teenage victim.
Casino representatives stress that their staff and security officers are trained to respond to uncomfortable situations, offering services such as vehicle escorts and law enforcement notification when necessary.
