Norwegian Cruise Line Adds Light & Wonder Progressive Table Games to Fleet
Norwegian Cruise Line has partnered with Light & Wonder (L&W) to enhance its fleet's gaming experience with progressive table games. The deal includes 200 GM Atlas systems featuring progressives for blackjack and poker derivatives across 18 cruise ships.

The new technology enables linked gaming experiences across vessels, offering guests larger potential payouts. Norwegian's Breakaway ship was the first to receive the L&W progressive table games, which include blackjack, let it ride, three-card poker, and ultimate Texas hold'em.
Norwegian's Casinos At Sea features:
- Over 4,800 slot machines from Aristocrat, Everi, and IGT
- High-roller accommodations with slots up to $100 per spin
- Table game bets up to $5,000
- Cash-only transactions with ATM access
- Credit available for qualified passengers (minimum $5K)
- Popular table games including blackjack, craps, and roulette
The partnership reflects the cruise industry's renewed focus on casino gaming, following similar moves by competitors. Royal Caribbean has expanded its smoke-free gaming areas, Crystal Symphony launched the first Monte-Carlo Casino at sea, and Carnival partnered with Bally's for a points program.
Light & Wonder, formerly Scientific Games, rebranded in 2022 after selling its sports betting division to Endeavor Group ($1.2 billion) and lottery division to Brookfield Business Partners ($6.1 billion).
Norwegian Cruise Line, founded in 1966 and based in Miami, ranks as the fourth-largest cruise operator globally by passenger count. Their casino rewards program allows guests to earn points on both slot and table game play.
