The Allstate Sugar Bowl will proceed as scheduled tonight at 8:45 pm EST in New Orleans' Caesars Superdome, despite a tragic incident in the French Quarter earlier today.

A white pickup truck drove through crowds on Bourbon Street around 3:15 a.m. local time, killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 30 others. The driver, who was killed in a police shootout, deliberately targeted New Year's revelers according to Mayor LaToya Cantrell, who labeled it a "terrorist attack." The FBI is investigating the incident as terrorism.
