Mega Millions Jackpot Soars to $1.15B After Christmas Eve Draw Goes Unclaimed
The Mega Millions jackpot has grown to $1.15 billion after no ticket matched all six numbers in the Christmas Eve drawing. This marks the 30th consecutive rollover and would be the game's fifth-largest prize in its history since 1996.

The winning numbers for Tuesday's drawing were 1, 14, 38, 45, 46, and gold Mega Ball 3. Friday's drawing offers a cash option of $516.1 million, with odds of winning at 1 in 302.5 million.
Tuesday's drawing produced several notable winners:
- 4 tickets matched five white balls, winning $1 million each
- 116 tickets won $10,000 by matching four white balls plus the Mega Ball
- 13 tickets included the Megaplier, increasing their win to $30,000
- Over 2.8 million tickets won smaller prizes, including matching just the Mega Ball for a $2 return
Starting April 2024, Mega Millions tickets will increase to $5 and automatically include the Megaplier feature. The new format will introduce a 10x Megaplier option while maintaining current game odds. Current Megaplier options multiply non-jackpot wins by 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x.
Joshua Johnston, lead director for the Mega Millions Consortium, noted the timing of this massive jackpot during the holiday season, suggesting many players might receive tickets as gifts.
