The project represents a significant upgrade from the temporary casino that operated in the former Bristol Mall since July 2022. That initial facility proved successful, generating approximately $145 million in gaming revenue last year alone.

The resort's development, led by Hard Rock International and local businessmen Jim McGlothlin and Clyde Stacy, aims to boost the local economy in Bristol, where the median household income ($45,250) is roughly half the Virginia average. The project has already created over 1,000 jobs with additional positions still available.

Hotel stays begin Friday, November 15, with opening night rates at $741.52 after taxes and resort fees. Rates drop significantly to $159 by the following week. Country music star Blake Shelton will perform as part of the grand opening celebrations.

Members of the Unity by Hard Rock rewards program will see their points transfer seamlessly to the new facility, ensuring continuity for existing customers.
