Penn Entertainment is converting 10 more casino sportsbooks to ESPN Bet locations following its $1.5 billion partnership with ESPN after selling Barstool Sports in August 2023.

The new ESPN Bet locations include:
- Ameristar Casino Hotel Council Bluffs (Iowa)
- Hollywood Casinos in Grantville, York, and Washington (Pennsylvania)
- Hollywood Gaming racinos in Youngstown and Dayton (Ohio)
- Ameristar Casino Black Hawk (Colorado)
- Ameristar East Chicago and Hollywood Lawrenceburg (Indiana)
- Hollywood Casino Charles Town (West Virginia)
These join existing ESPN Bet sportsbooks in Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, and Ohio. ESPN Bet currently operates online in 19 states and holds 3-4% of the legal sports betting market share, while FanDuel and DraftKings dominate with 74%.
The partnership integrates ESPN Bet odds into ESPN programming and allows customers to link their ESPN accounts with the betting app. Hollywood Casino York will launch its ESPN Bet facility on Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony before the NFL Playoffs.
This rebranding follows Penn's previous partnership with Barstool Sports, which ended after regulatory concerns about founder Dave Portnoy's suitability for gaming operations. Penn had invested $527 million in Barstool before selling it back for $1. Prior to Barstool, Penn operated its sportsbooks through William Hill, which was later acquired by Caesars Entertainment in April 2021.
