Caesars Entertainment debuted its newest $750 million casino resort in Danville, Virginia, on December 17, marking a significant milestone for both the company and the city. The development transforms the historic Dan River Mills textile manufacturing site while preserving its iconic Three Sisters smokestacks.

The property is a joint venture between Caesars Entertainment and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI), extending their successful partnership from North Carolina's tribal casinos.

The grand opening featured NBA legend Dennis Rodman as master of ceremonies, complete with a supercar parade and fireworks display. Danville expects to receive $35-40 million annually from the casino, collecting 6.5% of monthly gross gaming revenue plus additional taxes from hotel stays, dining, and entertainment.
Local residents have praised the development, with many comparing the experience to Las Vegas and noting its positive impact on the city's transformation. The casino's opening, delayed from December 12, has generated significant excitement and economic opportunities for the Danville region.
