Pennsylvania Sets New Gaming Revenue Record at $562M in November

Pennsylvania's gaming revenue hit an all-time monthly high of $562.36 million in November 2024, marking a 26% increase from the previous year. This record-breaking performance was primarily driven by unprecedented online gaming activity and favorable sports betting outcomes.

iGaming achieved a historic milestone, exceeding $200.4 million for the first time, with online slots generating $148.6 million (up 36%) and interactive table games bringing in $49.5 million (up 7%). Online poker contributed an additional $2.2 million.

Sportsbooks reported record monthly revenue of $77.1 million, benefiting from several unexpected game outcomes, including the Cleveland Browns' upset over the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Philadelphia Eagles' performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Traditional casino gaming showed modest growth, with retail slot revenue reaching $201.5 million (up 6%), while retail table revenue slightly declined to $77.5 million (down 2.5%).

Valley Forge Casino Resort emerged as the top revenue generator with $102.5 million, largely due to its online operations. Their partnership with FanDuel dominated the sportsbook market, handling over $373.6 million in bets and generating $36.8 million in revenue. Their online casino operations contributed $54.1 million, while the physical casino added $11.5 million.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course ranked second with $90.4 million in total revenue, with $74.4 million coming from online operations and $13 million from its physical location. Their sports betting operation, through ESPN Bet and Hollywood Casino apps, generated $2.8 million from $43.8 million in handles.

The state's gaming market encompasses 17 brick-and-mortar casinos, iGaming platforms, retail and mobile sports betting, video gaming terminals at truck stops, and fantasy sports operations.
