Princess Cruises Unveils Largest-Ever Casino on $1B Sun Princess Ship
Princess Cruises will debut its largest-ever casino aboard the new $1 billion Sun Princess cruise ship in February 2024. The casino spans nearly 9,000 square feet and features 227 slot machines and 13 live dealer table games.
Located on deck eight adjacent to the Piazza (the ship's central atrium), the casino offers 50% more floor space and 30% more gaming positions compared to Princess' Royal Class ships. The gaming floor includes high-limit slots areas with premium seating, linked progressive jackpots for both table games and slots, and a dedicated Buffalo Zone featuring popular Buffalo-branded slot machines.

The Sun Princess Casino will also debut a new version of the Love Boat slot machine, themed after the iconic TV series. Gaming operations begin once the ship reaches international waters (24 nautical miles offshore) and are regulated by the Cruise Lines International Association.
The Sun Princess itself is a 175,500-ton vessel featuring 21 decks and 2,150 guest cabins. At 1,133 feet in length, the ship offers various entertainment options including a ropes course, splash pad, and Sea Breeze Rollglider - a hang-gliding experience providing panoramic views from the top deck.
The ship's inaugural season will include voyages to the Mediterranean, Europe, and the Caribbean. Construction is nearing completion at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
