BetMGM reported this as their most-bet combat sport event ever, generating three times the bets and four times the handle of any previous fight. The most popular props were:

  • Tyson to win by KO/TKO or DQ (+250)
  • Tyson on points (+1100)
  • Tyson to win in Round 1 (+1400)

DraftKings saw 3.5 times more bets and handle compared to their previous record holder (Davis vs. Garcia). BetRivers reported this fight generated more money than their next four most wagered-on bouts of 2024 combined.

At 888 Sport, most betting activity came from Canada and the UK, with the majority of bets favoring Tyson. Despite being the underdog at +180, Tyson attracted 67% of tickets and 53% of the handle at BetMGM.

Craig Mucklow of Caesars Sportsbook compared the fight's handle to an NFL Monday Night game, noting the unique generational appeal between Tyson nostalgists and Paul's younger fanbase.

Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy criticized the event as a marketing ploy, praising Paul's promotional skills while questioning expectations about the 58-year-old Tyson's capabilities, given his diminished performance at the end of his career three decades ago.
