Genting Group aims to dismiss a $600 million lawsuit filed by RAV Bahamas over alleged fraud and false accounting at Resorts World Bimini. The lawsuit centers around financial disputes between the development partners.

RAV Bahamas, owned by Florida's Capo family, claims Genting has turned their joint venture into a "financial wasteland" with $885 million in debt, preventing any return on investment. The dispute stems from their 2012 partnership to develop a casino resort on North Bimini Island, where RAV had already established the Bimini Bay resort.

Genting argues for dismissal on three key grounds:

  • The case should be handled in the Bahamas per shareholder agreement
  • Claims are time-barred, as alleged fraud dates to 2014
  • The complaint fails to prove false statements or knowledge of untrue claims

RAV alleges Genting has:

  • Denied full access to financial records
  • Refused requests for independent audits
  • Created excessive debt exceeding the combined liabilities of Genting Malaysia and its 150 subsidiaries
  • Used complex corporate structures to conceal financial improprieties

Genting maintains all allegations are "baseless and without merit," while emphasizing that RAV's claims of self-conspiracy and tortious interference with its own business relationship lack legal support.
